Literary Launch For Foundation

The AHS Foundation’s official launch got off to a great start on October 9th at a prestigious black tie dinner at the Mansion House, Doncaster, with over £10,400 raised or pledged on the night.

Sales of Nadeem Shah’s moving account of the earthquake were brisk, with proceeds to the foundation, which later received a promise of two £750 hospital beds from South Yorkshire Police.

Nine of the ten Foundation trustees attended with only one absence due to illness there was a fast and furious auction for some impressive lots.

Publicity in the press and on TV and radio created a good deal of interest in the event and is already leading to further donations in cash and kind.

If you would like to make a donation to help towards the building of the hospital or to assist with fund raising in other ways please see ‘Making a Donation’ or contact the AHS Foundation on 0845 0941 410.
