AHS FOUNDATION - DELIVERING HOPE

  Study Pack for Schools

Noon Bagla is a remote mountain village in Kashmir. On the morning of 8 October 2005 fourteen schoolchildren were killed when their school collapsed following a devastating earthquake. This educational resource pack has been specially developed to enable schoolchildren in the United Kingdom to understand the cause and impact of earthquakes and by focussing on real events to better appreciate the effect on local communities such as Noon Bagla. We also hope this resource will encourage schools to take an interest in Noon Bagla and to make a contribution to its restoration.
